Abstract

At 249 million cases and 608,000 fatalities reported in 2022, malaria remains a major global health challenge, disproportionately affecting Sub-Saharan Africa, and accounting for 95% of malaria-related deaths. The disease is caused by Plasmodium parasites and is transmitted by Anopheles mosquitoes, exacerbated by damp climatic conditions, political instability, and inadequate healthcare
infrastructure.
